Constable Correspondence, 1927-1944.

Correspondence between this British writer and Michael Sadleir of Constable & Co., concerning book contracts, primarily for "The Earthen Lot" (1928) and "Grand Harbour" (1934). Much of this correspondence documents the difficulty of researching and writing the novel "Miledi," based on the life of Lady Hamilton.
